This morning, as you enjoy breakfast you'll arrive into the cruise port of Costa Maya, in Mexico's developing Costa Maya region. Surrounded by dense jungle and turquoise waters and blessed with radiant sunshine all year round, it's little wonder the ancient Maya chose to call this place home. Indeed, historical ceremonial centres like Chacchoben give us an insight into their culture and heritage. Today, you'll have a chance to climb among the ruins, many of which are still being excavated. Look out for raucous toucans in the trees. Today offers the perfect opportunity to live out your paradise island fantasies in one of the Caribbean's lesser known but more stunning islets. Harvest Caye - just off the coast of Belize - features an enchanting range of environments from tropical rainforests to marshes and coral reefs, all within the confines of just 75 acres. Use your time to explore its incredible biodiversity, discovering exotic wildlife such as crocodiles, howler monkeys, toucans and water birds and exploring the world's second largest coral reef.
