Costa Maya, Mexico
This morning, as you enjoy breakfast you'll arrive into the cruise port of Costa Maya, in Mexico's developing Costa Maya region. Surrounded by dense jungle and turquoise waters and blessed with radiant sunshine all year round, it's little wonder the ancient Maya chose to call this place home. Indeed, historical ceremonial centres like Chacchoben give us an insight into their culture and heritage. Today, you'll have a chance to climb among the ruins, many of which are still being excavated. Look out for raucous toucans in the trees. Also available as an optional excursion is a chance to go swimming with bottlenose dolphins and learning about their remarkably intelligent behaviour and friendliness. For a more relaxing day, opt to snorkel in the shallow crystal-clear waters near the shore.

Harvest Caye - just off the coast of Belize - features an enchanting range of environments from tropical rainforests to marshes and coral reefs, all within the confines of just 75 acres. Use your time to explore its incredible biodiversity, discovering exotic wildlife such as crocodiles, howler monkeys, toucans and water birds and exploring the world's second largest coral reef. Cozumel, Mexico
The lovely island of Cozumel has long been a favourite of visitors to Mexico. Just off the coast of the Yucatán Peninsula, the sunny weather tends to be just about perfect, and cool ocean breezes gently whisk away your cares. Coral reefs are a sanctuary for those who revere colourful marine life, while inland Mayan ruins are havens for history buffs. As far as the local towns, they’re just plain fun. If you’re looking for a party, you’ll find it along San Miguel’s waterfront north of Avenue Andrés Quintana Roo. To experience the island in its more rugged state, head to the east side, which gets more wind and bigger waves.
