Isle of Portland, England

Arrive into Portland this morning, this UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to London 2012’s Olympic sailing events forms part of Dorset’s Jurassic coastline. This little island boasts impressive rock formations and historic castles as well as an intriguing pirate heritage. You won't want to miss a photo opportunity of nearby Durdle Door, undoubtedly one of England’s most beautiful natural landmarks, followed by a visit to Castledown D-Day Centre for a chance to learn about the area’s important D-Day history.

Day at sea

A day at sea today is the perfect opportunity to acquaint yourself with your luxurious floating home. Set your sights on exploring the ship’s eight restaurants, or sample the pioneering wellness programme in the onboard spa.

Liverpool, England

Anchor into Liverpool today, bursting with maritime heritage and home to the iconic Beatles, this ‘City of Music’ certainly has plenty to offer. Best explored during a city tour take in the city’s iconic landmarks including Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, St George’s Quarter and the Royal Philharmonic Hall. Later, be sure to sample a bowl of ‘Scouse’ a traditional beef stew commonly eaten by northern European sailors and responsible for the famous ‘Scouser’ nickname.

Day 5
Holyhead, Wales

This morning you’ll wake to the rugged Welsh coastline as the ship docks into Holyhead; today’s highlights include a hike to the 200 year old South Stack Lighthouse located on a small island with spectacular views across the Irish Sea, nearby Ellin’s Tower is the perfect spot for catching a glimpse of nesting seabirds and puffins and the maritime museum is not to be missed for a round-up of the town’s seafaring history.

Day 6
Belfast, Northern Ireland

Today you’ll turn your attention to Northern Ireland as you arrive into the city of Belfast, as the birthplace of the Titanic a visit to the world-famous Titanic Museum is highly recommended. Later, a tour of the Peace Line constructed during the height of The Troubles is a stark reminder of the city’s turbulent past, take in the colourful murals to gain an understanding of the city’s historic divisions.

Day 7
Greenock (Glasgow), Scotland

Sail to Scotland today, you’ll arrive into the historic town of Greenock a short distance from Scotland’s largest city of Glasgow. Famed for its abundance of 19th century architecture and hometown to architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh, take the opportunity to enjoy a tour of his home shared with wife Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh and admire their world famous style. Other highlights include a visit to the Hunterian Museum & Art Gallery, follow the City Centre Mural Trail for the chance to admire the renowned street art, and wander the leafy parkland of Glasgow’s Botanic Gardens.

Day at sea

A second day at sea affords you the chance to enjoy the parts of the ship that you may have missed, head to the S.A.L.T Lab for workshops and cooking demonstrations hosted by talented chefs or retreat to the Panorama Lounge for a peaceful pre-dinner cocktail.

Day 9
Waterford (Dunmore East), Ireland

Step back in time as you explore Waterford today, founded by the Vikings in 914 AD it’s possible to still feel their presence as you wander the streets of preserved Viking and Norman history. A visit to Reginald’s tower is Waterford City’s landmark monument and not to be missed today, step inside the thick stone walls and explore the impressive exhibition of Viking treasures. Later, a guided tour of the House of Waterford Crystal is highly recommended for an insight into some of the world’s finest crystal.

Day 10
Cobh, Ireland

Situated on an island in Cork city’s harbour, the second largest natural harbour in the world, you'll arrive into the picturesque town of Cobh. Famed for being the last port of call of the Titanic, unsurprisingly this charming little town is steeped in history. Take a visit to 15th Century Blarney Castle to kiss the famous stone, hop on a short boat ride for a tour of the star shaped fortress of Spike Island and stop by Cobh Heritage Centre to learn of the stories of Irish emigration.

Falmouth, England

The Cornish Coast greets you this morning as you arrive into the picturesque seaside town of Falmouth, and there's plenty on offer today with an eclectic mix of art galleries, independent shops, sandy beaches and buzzing bars and restaurants. Other highlights include an excursion to St Ives or a scenic tour of the Cornish Coast that’ll take in sights including St Michael’s Mount, Redruth and the impressive granite tor of CarnBrea. Don’t forget to enjoy a delicious cream tea before waving goodbye to Cornwall this evening.

Day 12
St Peter Port, Guernsey

Your final stop is Guernsey’s capital St Peter Port, lose yourself among the quaint cobbled streets adorned with lush floral displays, small family run boutiques and thriving eateries. A visit to the ancient Castle Cornet is highly recommended for an insight into the island’s fascinating history, as well as a tour of Hauteville House once home to French writer Victor Hugo before a stroll through the beautiful Candie Gardens.
