Today you’ll arrive in Chile’s capital and be transferred to your hotel for your 3 night stay, the rest of the day is at your leisure to recharge after the journey.

Santiago, Chile
Following breakfast the first of your two days sightseeing begins with a guided tour taking in the city’s main sights, followed by a visit to Santa Rita vineyard. Set within the foothills of Alto Janhuel, a tour of the vineyard is the perfect opportunity to delve into Chile’s cultural heritage and wine making traditions. Your tour concludes with lunch served in the Doña Paula restaurant. For your final day you’ll take a scenic drive into the mountains for a tour of Portillo, one of the world’s best ski resorts stopping briefly at the iconic Battle of Chacabuco monument before enjoying lunch overlooking the emerald waters of Laguna del Inca.

Valparaiso, Chile & embark Seven Seas Splendor
After breakfast, you'll check out of your hotel and head out to the UNESCO World Heritage city of Valparaiso to explore its unique architecture and narrow streets; a place that a thriving community of poets and writers call home. As you drive through the city’s steep winding streets, you will pass the Parliament building, Fisherman’s Wharf, Plaza Sotomayor and the Naval Academy. You will also ride a cable car to a lookout that presents sweeping views over the city and bay. Later this afternoon you’ll arrive at San Antonio's pier ready to embark Seven Seas Splendor.

Puerto Montt, Chile
Anchor into Puerto Montt this morning, otherwise known as the gateway to the Andes and the Patagonian fjords. You’ll have plenty of options to take in the sights, enjoy a scenic excursion through lush countryside and charming remote towns to Puerto Varas and Frutillar for picturesque views of Chile’s largest natural lake, accompanied by looming snow-capped Osorno volcano. Later, take a guided walk through the national park to marvel at the impressive cascading falls of Petrohue waterfalls before returning to meander through the craft markets and rose-lined promenade of Puerto Varas.

Puerto Chacabuco, Chile
Another day of exploring the unspoilt beauty of Patagonia lies ahead, take a scenic drive to Aiken del Sur Nature Park to admire the vivid blue waters of Lake Riesco alongside an impressive array of flora and fauna, followed by refreshments in a traditional quincho pavilion. Perhaps you’ll choose to spend your day kayaking through lake Los Palos or fly-fishing for rainbow trout for total immersion into wild Patagonia. Later, board a catamaran across the fjord to Ensenada Perez for a dip in the hot springs accompanied by a glass of pisco sour.

Laguna San Rafael, Chile
Today you’ll be greeted by one of the most spectacular sights in Southern Chile, the 30,000 year old San Valentin Glacier stands at almost 200 feet tall within Laguna San Rafael National Park. Enjoy the comfort of your catamaran as you cruise past floating sea ice towards exhilarating views of the glacier, you’ll witness enormous chunks of ice calving away into the water accompanied by deafeningly loud cracking sounds. Cruising the Chilean Fjords
You’ll spend the next two days cruising the Chilean Fjords, enjoy some time to put your feet up with a good book in a quiet corner of the library, followed by a thought provoking lecture to brush up on your destination knowledge. Perhaps you’d rather join expert chefs in the state-of-the-art kitchen for a cooking class focused on cuisines of the local area, before relaxing with a pre-dinner drink in one of the many lounges.

The final stop on the Chilean leg of your journey will be Punta Arenas, located on the Strait of Magellan; the city was once a remote military garrison but today serves as a charming gateway to Torres del Paine National Park’s crystalline lakes, gushing waterfalls, soaring mountains and awe-inspiring glaciers. Today sees you arrive in Argentina’s ‘End of the World’ city of Ushuaia, where colourful houses cascade down the side of majestic snow-capped mountains overlooking the infamous Beagle Channel. Marvel at the natural beauty of the famed Torres del Fuego National Park and ride the historic End of the World train once used to carry prisoners to a penal settlement. Afterwards, immerse yourself in Ushuaia’s local cuisine with a visit to a local smokehouse for an insight into the age-old smoking process. You’ll sample gastronomic delights such as king crab and black hake washed down with thoughtfully paired Argentinian wines.

Cruising the Drake Passage and the Antarctic Peninsula
You’ll spend the next 5 days at sea cruising the famous Drake Passage, followed by the Antarctic Peninsula and finally the Atlantic Ocean before arriving in the Falkland Islands. Port Stanley, Falkland Islands
Anchor into Port Stanley today, the characterful capital of the Falkland Islands has all the charm of a rural English village with red telephone boxes, quaint cafes and local pubs. You’ll gain an insight into rural life in the Falklands with a visit to a working farm for sheep herding and shearing demonstrations or a 4x4 off road adventure to spend some time getting to know the resident gentoo penguins at Newans Station. Other highlights include a visit to the historic Dockyard museum, venture down to Gypsy Cove to spot dolphins and sea lions followed by a tour of the Battlefields and a chance to walk in the footsteps of the brave soldiers of the Falklands War.

Buenos Aires, Argentina
For the final stop of your journey you’ll be greeted by the colourful streets and infectious energy of Buenos Aires, also known as the ‘Paris of South America’ on account of its world-renowned sophistication and culture. A tour of the city will see you visit Plaza de Mayo, Argentina’s most politically and historically significant square, from here you’ll spot Casa Rosado, the pink presidential mansion from which Evita delivered her famous speeches. Take a stroll through the ornate mausoleum-lined streets of the affluent Recoleta Cemetery, this 14 acre cemetery is arguably the world’s most beautiful final resting place. As the sun sets on your final evening you’ll begin to hear passionate melodies of the tango come alive along San Telmo’s cobbled streets.
