Accommodation
Frangipani trees line the paths around this intimate ten-suite hideaway, where each suite combines chic style with comfort. Your bedroom extends over the calm waters of the Chamberlain River, offering you a peaceful and unique setting. Homestead Rooms offer views over the lodge's gardens, while Chamberlain Rooms and three Cliff Side Retreats overlook the Chamberlain River. Rooms combine authentic Australian furnishings with modern touches, including Bose sound systems. Look to the Chamberlain Suite for a wrap-around verandah and floor to ceiling windows to take in spectacular gorge views.
Dining
At El Questro Homestead, dining is an integral part of your stay and enhances your Kimberley experience. The menus reflect the abundance of fresh produce from the Ord River Valley. Start your day with breakfast on the expansive veranda, where you can enjoy uninterrupted views of Chamberlain Gorge while the morning sun casts a soft pink glow over the surrounding ranges. For lunch and dinner, you'll gather at a communal table beneath a shady awning, sharing stories of your day's adventures and savouring a glass of Western Australian wine. If you prefer more privacy, you can opt to dine at one of our exclusive locations. Our modern Australian menu changes daily, highlighting seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
Facilities
Spend your days discovering a wealth of natural treasures, from the Zebedee Thermal Springs and Miri Miri Falls to all manner of gorges, rivers, canyons and creeks, which can be explored by foot, horseback and even from the air. The hotel puts on a range of experiences including boat trips through the gorge or a helicopter ride to far-flung waterholes. Back at the homestead, there’s a swimming pool, tennis court and the homestead’s intimate atmosphere is rounded off with an all-inclusive self-serve bar.
El Questro Homestead is open from April to October. Children 15 years and under are not catered for.
