Hotel Montreal, Christchurch

Location

Opened in 2015, Hotel Montreal has an ideal location at the foot of Hagley Park, just a few minutes by foot from the centre of Christchurch with its many restaurants and shops. The botanic gardens and the Avon River, which runs through the city centre, are also close by.

Accommodation

Blending European style with contemporary design, Hotel Montreal offers a range of accommodation including Junior Suites, Family Suites and a three-bedroom Penthouse. There are just 25 rooms in total, each one elegantly decorated and featuring a private balcony and a well-equipped kitchenette. Spacious yet cosy living and dining areas are provided in every suite while modern amenities including in-room iPads, iPod docking stations and plasma TVs only add to the comfort. En suite bathrooms are decorated with modern accessories and feature walk-in showers; the Penthouse has a master en suite and a further Jack & Jill bathroom shared by the other two bedrooms.

Dining

The Polo Bar & Restaurant is open for breakfast, afternoon aperitifs and tempting tapas. Breakfast is a particular highlight with a choice of continental meats and cheeses, pastries, homemade muesli, locally grown fruits and a number of delicious cooked options. Inspired by the Argentinian cuisine smoked steaks and fish dishes are available all washed down with a menu of award-winning wines.
