EVA Air: An Elite Airline
Content
EVA Air, a Star Alliance member, is Taiwan’s leading independent airline. And, with a reputation for innovation – it was the first in the industry to introduce a premium economy cabin – it’s recently become part of an elite club of only eight airlines to be recognised with SKYTRAX’s prestigious 5-star ranking. It’s known for its warm on-board service, exceptional standards and impeccable safety record, ranked by AirlineRatings.com among the world’s safest airlines for the third year in a row.
SKYTRAX 5-Star Airline Ranking
As the leading international air transport standards body, SKYTRAX – after a yearlong audit – has granted EVA its highest ranking for the standards of its airport facilities, on-board amenities and service. Throughout its cabin classes, EVA is committed to offering the finest experience in freshly prepared meals, state-of-the-art entertainment systems, extensive movie libraries and an exclusive WiFi and SMS service. Having won the organisation’s award for cleanliest cabins in 2015 wouldn’t have hurt either.
Economy
Whether you’re flying in Economy or in EVA’s first class offering – Royal Laurel – you’ll be well looked after. Ergonomic seats feature natural reclines, memory-shape cushions and fully adjustable headrests while entertainment is provided by high-resolution touch screens that host on-demand video, music and gaming options. The airline’s signature fresh and healthy inflight cuisine is a particular highlight.
Elite Class
In 1992, EVA was the first airline to offer a premium economy cabin, a tradition it maintains to this day with its Elite Class, voted by SKYTRAX as the industry’s ‘Best Premium Economy Class’. Here, wide seating, ample legroom, mood lighting and aromatherapy toiletries make for comfortable flights while USB plugs, 110V AC outlets and noise-cancelling headphones facilitate already excellent entertainment options. Enjoy fine gastronomy served on chinaware sets and premium drinks.
Royal Laurel Class
Arranged in a reverse herringbone formation, the seats of EVA’s first class lie flat at the touch of a button, extending to approximately two metres. Fixed panels assure undisturbed rest while cocktail rests, jacket hangers and generously sized tables add welcome touches. High definition touch screens come complete with noise-cancelling headphones, USB and iPod ports while power sockets let you stay connected. Round off your night’s rest with amenities from luxury brand RIMOWA, complementary pyjamas and Fiji Water. For dinner, expect everything from expertly prepared prime steak to fresh lobster, accompanied by a glass of champagne.
Routes
EVA’s gateways include London, Paris, Amsterdam, Vienna and Istanbul as it flies out to some 60 international destinations throughout Asia, Oceania, North America and Europe. Operating daily nonstop flights from London Heathrow to Bangkok that continue to Taipei, passengers can easily connect to every major city in Asia, including nearly 30 gateways in Mainland China.
