Introduction
The so-called ‘Magical Island', Mo'orea is just ten or so miles to the west of Tahiti and easy to get to either by small plane or high-speed catamaran.
Here you'll find the vision of tropical paradise that French Polynesia is famed for, with a bright blue lagoon and stunning white sand beaches. The island has some smart beachfront resorts too, and for visitors hoping to see a bit more of the island, there are plenty of attractions.
Offshore there are good scuba diving and snorkelling sites, while inland you'll find interesting marae (sacred meeting places) and challenging walking paths through the island's rugged interior.
