Italian Lakes
The pull to Italy’s enchanting northern lakes is indisputably stronger during the hot summer months. From May right through to September, endless sunshine paired with cooling dips in crystal clear waters make for an idyllic summer getaway. Alternatively, a trip during spring or autumn brings low season prices, moderate temperatures – perfect for intense sports in the beautiful natural surrounds – and all-round peace and quiet.

Like many places on the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento becomes crowded with tourists during the summer months; at this time of year, the temperature can reach 30° and the climate is quite dry. Spring and autumn provide more temperate seasons for a holiday to Sorrento, but spring can be particularly captivating as the region's famed lemon trees are in bloom. From October through February visitors will likely encounter rain showers, though the temperature is mild.
