Opatija
The Opatija region's initial success as a holiday destination for the Viennese elite is in part down to the area's pleasant year-round Mediterranean climate. Many of the town's grand residences now accommodate luxurious hotels, maintaining a connection to its illustrious past.
Krk
Krk Town is the aptly named main town of popular Krk Island. Connected to the mainland by a bridge at its northernmost point, the island (home to Rijeka airport) provides the main gateway for people flying into the Kvarner region.
