Location
Situated in the private Linyanti Wildlife Reserve that borders the western boundary of Chobe National Park, DumaTau Camp offers sweeping and dramatic river views which are nothing short of spectacular. The tented camp is located close to the source of the Savute Channel on Osprey Lagoon and between two elephant ‘corridors’, resulting in a plethora of wildlife. The camp is accessible by fly-in to Maun Airport or Kasane via Johannesburg.
Accommodation
Featuring 10 rooms, composed of eight twin and two family rooms, DumaTau Camp is raised off the ground to take advantage of the breathtaking river views. Each of the tents are en suite and spacious, spread out under a canvas roof and feature clear sliding doors and windows, allowing wide-angled views of the riverfront.
Dining
Offering delicious and well-presented meals, either in the expansive dining room or outdoors, DumaTau Camp hosts group meals with a variety of dishes on offer. Light breakfasts are served before morning activities, followed by brunch and afternoon tea, with a three-course dinner taken in the dining area.
Facilities
Morning and afternoon game drives allow exploration of incredible habitat diversity and rich wildlife of the area in open 4x4 Land Rovers, with night drives allowing guests to spot nocturnal animals such as the lesser bushbaby and aardwolf. Nature walks with skilled and armed guides allow personal encounters with nature, or guests can take advantage of the outstanding birding in the Savute Channel. Other activities include seasonal fishing on a catch-and-release basis, exploring the Linyanti River by boat and access to the camp swimming pool.
