Location
Dwarika’s Hotel is a luxury hotel in Kathmandu, Nepal. It is located in Battisputali, and is a collection of various traditional Nepali houses that congregate around courtyards. The hotel has also won the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Award for Culture Heritage Conservation, and is known for its cultural preservation work.
Accommodation
There are 86 meticulously designed rooms and suites at the hotel, that have a regal interior design based on the Malla kings of Nepal. Royal Suites take their architectural inspiration from the private abodes of the kings, and are set over three floors with an area of 250 sq metres. Heritage Executive Suites are spread over an expansive area, and have luxurious open plan bathrooms, whilst Junior Suites are individually designed with local materials including pottery, slate and brass. Take a Heritage Deluxe Room for a more earthy feel.
Dining
There are three restaurants at the hotel, as well as a bar. Krishnarpan is a Nepali speciality restaurant at Dwarika’s, that offers a slow dining experience with meals ranging from six to 22 courses using the freshest ingredients. Other options include Mako’s, a Japanese restaurant, and Toran that’s an all-day restaurant serving Nepali flavours combined with popular world cuisines. There’s also the Fusion Bar that overlooks the pool, and Kaiser Café Restaurant and Bar and is located in the heart of Kathmandu.
