Canvas & Orchids Retreat, Koh Kong

Location 

Formerly the 4 Rivers Floating Lodge, this tented retreat is located near the southern coast of Cambodia halfway between Bangkok and Phnom Penh. Tatai is 20 minutes from Koh Kong city, four hours from Phnom Penh and three hours from Sihanoukville. The beautiful Cardamom Mountains are visible from the resort, which offers high-end eco-tourism that's in tune with the stunning natural surroundings. 

Accommodation 

African-style safari tents are the inspiration behind this imaginative eco-resort, where guests stay in one of 12 tented villas that ‘float’ on platforms on a bend of the Tatai River in the wildlife rich Cardamom mountains. Tents are spacious and modern in design, with all the amenities you would expect including TVs, DVD players, air conditioning and en suite bathrooms. You will be able to witness natural wonders from your extra-large sun-lounger balcony, while enjoying an afternoon snack or sunset cocktail. 

Dining 

The hotel’s restaurant serves a delicious range of freshwater and saltwater fish, as well as traditional Cambodian, Western and Asian food made with locally-sourced ingredients. Alongside these, there's a wide selection of international culinary offerings from around the world, which are complimented by the carefully selected cellar of fine wines. 

Facilities

You can get stuck in to a range of activities at the hotel, from kayaking to hydro massages. There are also trekking tours that are available to take; you can try your hand at fishing for your supper, or snuggling up with someone on a sunset cruise. The nature that you’ll see on your holiday is incredible; stroll through virgin rainforest, and observe over 100 mammal species, such as clouded leopard, pileated gibbon and Malaysian sun bear.
