Grotto Bay Beach Resort sits on a lush tropical estate along the water's edge in beautiful Bailey's Bay, on the sun-kissed island of Bermuda. Scattered across 21 acres and sloping down towards three private beaches are 11 brightly coloured cottages housing just over 200 rooms, all with ocean views and balconies or terraces. The main house has just been refurbished and features dark wood floors, open fireplaces and an assortment of antiques.
It's here, too, that you'll find the Rum House Bar, perfect for a pre or post-dinner drink, and the two dining venues, the Hibiscus Dining Room and the more casual Palm Court. Alfresco dining in summer, including BBQs and seafood buffets, can be enjoyed at the Bayside Grill by the water's edge.
Enjoy a heated freshwater pool, outside Jacuzzi, four tennis courts, moped and bike hire, a small gym and a dive centre that operates twice-daily dive trips (weather permitting). For a relaxing end to adventurous days head to the Natura Spa; unique to Grotto Bay, it offers personalised spa treatments among the stalagmites and stalactites of 500,000-year-old Prospero's Cave.
