About
Recommended for:
Beach | Honeymoon | Relaxation | Spa
Crossing by boat from Mahé, the island of Silhouette looms large on the horizon, the slopes of its high peaks carpeted in a shag pile of tropical vegetation. Despite being the third largest island in the Seychelles, Silhouette is almost untouched by modern development.
Location
The Hilton Labriz Resort & Spa is superbly located on this island paradise just a 40-minute boat trip from Mahe. With no roads and no vehicles (except for electric buggies that'll whisk you from spa to bar) the pace of life is refreshingly slow.
Easy-to-follow paths dissect the islands lush forests, leading you over headlands to deserted beaches, while the island's giant tortoise sanctuary, run by naturalist and former Wexas member, Ron Gerlach, is a must for any visitor.
Accommodation
Rooms are designed with comfort in mind and the Garden Villas have spacious bedrooms and outdoor showers, while the larger Beach Villas are just steps from the shore. All room types feature the sort of amenities you'd expect from a resort of this standard, including LCD TVs, DVD players and wireless internet access.
Dining
The resort features five restaurants with a wide choice of flavours on offer. Experience wonderful creole cooking at Cafe Dauban, there's the Japanese influenced Sakura and Teppanyaki restaurants or you might like to indulge in some Italian fine dining at the elegant Portobello.
Facilities
A number of activities including diving, snorkelling and jungle walks are on offer, or for those looking for total relaxation the fabulous Silhouette Spa has a wide range of treatments available.
