New for 2018, this luxury expedition ship blends the best in contemporary design with the latest in cutting-edge technology and all the functionality required when sailing the world’s remotest oceans. And, with a staff and crew of 125 catering to just 176 guests – or 140 on the Antarctic Express programme – service is both attentive and personal.
Spread across six floors, rooms are stylish and spacious, and come a private bathroom and either a walk-out or Juliet balcony with direct sea views. Individual climate control and a built-in TV offer extra home-from-home comforts.
Elsewhere, the glass-domed observation lounge provides space for contemplation, and spectacular skyline views, after days spent exploring the great outdoors. Ideal for a drink and a chat, the Explorer Lounge is a more convivial space, while the well-stocked library offers the chance for quiet reading. To further quench the thirst for knowledge, the dedicated lecture theatre hosts presentations and discussions with the ship’s onboard experts. There’s plenty to look forward to in terms of dining, too, with all meals prepared by a talented team of resident chefs and served in the a main dining room with unreserved seating. And there’s a bar, staffed by a professional bar tender serving a wide selection of soft drinks, beers, wines and spirits chargeable to your account.
But that’s not all. Between Zodiac cruises, shore hikes and kayak paddles, there’s the chance to truly unwind with a dip in the pool, a workout in the gym or some indulgent pampering in the spa.
