On the banks of the Mara River, in the Western Koyiaki conservation area. The Royal Mara Safari Lodge is situated in the richest game view section of the Kenya’s legendary Maasai Mara Ecosystem, directly on the wildebeest "Great Migration" route. Royal Mara offers a blend of the classic tented safari camp with the amenities of a lodge. Nestling on a peninsula directly on the banks of the Mara River, the Camp marsh, resident hippo pools, lagoon and waterhole make game viewing inside the Camp, in combination with game drives, a truly unforgettable safari experience. There are only 8 riverfront tented chalets raised on mahogany platforms with large open verandas where guests can relax overlooking the breathtaking river scenery. The chalets have an area of 110 square meters consisting of a sleeping area (36 sqm), bathroom (22 sqm) and veranda (52 sqm).
Daily Safari Activities personalised to guest requirements include: Conservation: Royal Mara is totally committed to minimizing its impact on the environment. All non biodegradable garbage is transported to a suitable urban collection location. Nothing is dumped or taken from the Mara River. All materials used including guest supplies, cleaning materials, waste disposal methods and landscaping are eco-friendly.
