Location
Teton Village surrounds the base of the perennially popular ski resort of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, one of the world’s premier winter sports locations. As well as enjoying easy access to the slopes, the Teton Mountain Lodge also sits right at the entrance to Grand Teton National Park, connected in turn to Yellowstone National Park, which is a mere 60 miles from the hotel. The resort is served by Jackson Hole International Airport, 22 miles from Teton Village.
Accommodation
Rooms and suites at the lodge contain all the amenities and comforts you’d expect from a luxury mountain retreat. Simple lodge rooms sleep two to four people while suites range in size from romantic couple-friendly studios to spacious two-storey layouts and three-bedroom options with furnished terraces. All suites include fully-equipped kitchens, stone-face gas fireplaces, granite countertops, and whirlpool tubs. Larger groups and families should consider booking the Penthouse Suite, with its high ceilings, picture windows, four bathrooms, and capacity to sleep up to 12 guests.
Dining
The hotel’s flagship Spur Restaurant was recently named by Forbes Magazine as “The Place to Eat” in Jackson Hole. Its carefully selected ingredients showcase the hotel’s dedication to local produce and organic, sustainable farming. The perfect fire-lit après ski destination in winter, its extensive patio comes into its own during the warm summer months. Elsewhere, the K Bar offers breakfast in the morning and small plates in the après ski hours of 3-8pm. Guests can also order box breakfasts or lunches to take with them before they set off outdoors, and there’s a comprehensive grocery service available, with orders delivered direct to your room.
Facilities
Winter activities begin with the fantastic skiing and snowboarding available at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, access to which could not be any closer. Pistes to suit all abilities abound, but the more adventurous can take the short trip across the Teton Pass to experience the legendary powder of Grand Targhee. You can also go ice skating, snowshoeing and snowmobiling, or tour snow-covered and spectacular Yellowstone from the comfort of a Snowcoach. Summer offers hiking and mountain biking, horseback riding, paragliding, fly-fishing, hot air ballooning and white water rafting. Whatever the season, you can always stay indoors, relax, and be pampered at the lodge’s newly remodelled SpaTerre spa.
