Located in the picturesque town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, The Prince of Wales is a sister property to the Pillar and Post. Dating back to 1864, the ornate, Georgian-style building housing the Prince of Wales has seen plenty of history and was actually named in 1901 in honour of the Duke and Duchess of York, who would later be crowned King George V and Queen Mary.

Location

Situated in the pretty town Niagara-on-the-Lake, the Prince of Wales is located 30 minutes from Niagara Falls, right on the doorstep of the city centre. There are numerous shops and restaurants within a short stroll of the front door or, if you would prefer, take a horse and carriage ride from the front steps. Transfer time from Toronto is approximately 90 minutes, with parking available and complimentary service between sister hotels, allowing you to benefit from all facilities.

Accommodation

The Prince of Wales provides guests with a Niagara hotel experience like no other, with individually-styled, luxurious hotel rooms and award winning amenities. Room choices include Traditional, Superior, Deluxe, Premium Guest Rooms and Royal Suites. All rooms are well-appointed and spacious, blending modernity with historic beauty, featuring Keurig coffeemakers, Bose sound systems and a décor that is very much in keeping with the era of the hotel.

Dining

The gourmet restaurant Escabeche is regarded as one of the best places to eat in the region and is a fine dining establishment that opens daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner; on Sunday mornings you can also enjoy a Victorian brunch. The Churchill Lounge offers a comfortable pub-style atmosphere that's perfect for early evening drinks and a relaxed evening meal, while The Drawing Room is an elegant space from a bygone era and the setting for a sumptuous afternoon tea, which is served daily.

Facilities

The Secret Garden Spa is a contemporary full service spa offering a full menu of treatments. There is also an indoor salt water pool and a fitness centre. You are welcome to use the facilities of the sister hotels and a complimentary car service is available.
