About

City | History & culture

Location

Adjacent to the French Quarter, the hotel is able to offer access to the street-side cafés, art galleries and quirky museums that New Orleans is famous for while having the space to accommodate its excellent facilities and oversized rooms. It’s also a short stroll from the city’s Riverwalk where boutique cafés and shops line the Mississippi River.

Accommodation

Designed to reflect New Orleans’s unhurried international style, generously sized rooms features classic French elegance with a subtle pastel colour palette. Wooden headboards, paintings hung on the wall and soft splashes of blue paisley invite guests in while genuine Italian marble baths ensure that they linger. For more space, Deluxe Suites offer a separate sitting room complete with wet bar, dining table and desk while you can get ready for a night at a jazz bar at the French dresser. Many also come with a private balcony.

Dining

One of the city’s only Forbes four-star and AAA Four Diamond awarded restaurants, The Grill Room serves contemporary southern cuisine with a distinctive New Orleans flair. Menus change almost daily to include only the freshest seafood, red meats and vegetables. Start with a foie gras praline or a fried oyster salad before moving onto a main of Mississippi rabbit or breaded redfish. The Polo Club Lounge transports you to an English private club with its dark woods and rich furnishings while its jazz and crab cakes brings you firmly back to New Orleans.

Facilities

To the quiet strains of a harpist, the hotel’s Le Salon indulges you with what has become a New Orleans pastime – afternoon tea. Twenty-six of the finest loose-leaf variety brews are on offer along with a selection of carefully crafted delicacies. If you’re looking for something more invigorating, there’s a fully equipped fitness centre along with a 65-foot rooftop pool, which, heated in the winter, offers skyline views.
