Set on a hillside overlooking the beautiful Anse Cochon Bay, this small and secluded resort, exudes a simple, rustic charm that makes it the perfect barefoot getaway. This small, secluded resort has 33 air-conditioned rooms and cottages built in a gingerbread style with simple yet stylish décor. Each has a four-poster bed, spacious veranda with double hammock and an open-air garden shower.
The hotel's main Kai Maje restaurant offers delicious local cuisine and an extensive wine cellar while Ti Manje provides a more casual dining experience on the beach. There is a new cliff top bar, a small swimming pool, sundeck, fitness room and a lovely spa offering a wide range of treatments.
The hotel is popular with scuba divers and PADI dive instruction can be arranged through the excellent Island Divers, who are based at the resort.
The beach is accessed via a rambling wooden staircase and some people may find the walk back up quite strenuous.
We like: The homely and unpretentious atmosphere - if you’re looking for a Caribbean home from home, this could be the place for you.
Best for: Couples & diving enthusiasts.
