Accommodation

Muted earthy tones contrast in spectacular fashion with the whitewashed interior walls of the hotel's spacious rooms. In the Oriente Rooms, beds with roll-down shades sit alongside frosted glass-enclosed bathrooms while outdoor showers are a indulgent extra touch. Also making the most of the Atacama's sunny climate are private terraces with views towards the Licancabur Volcano. Similar in style but with even more space, the Poniente Rooms come with relaxing bath tubs and large picture windows looking out to the Salt Mountain Range. WiFi, heating and air conditioning come as standard while handmade textiles and crafts add an authentic finish throughout. For larger families, the aptly named Family Rooms come with three bedrooms – including one en suite – spread across two levels with a connecting internal staircase; they can sleep up to six guests.

Dining

The hotel features a bar and elegant dining area, which serves a blend of healthy and fresh Chilean and Andean-inspired dishes accompanied by a selection of the finest Chilean wines; dive into delicious Chilean crab and grilled pear salad followed by traditional southern crumb kutchen and cabernet sauvignon ice cream. The bar serves a range of artisan beers from local breweries and carefully crafted cocktails, including a superb Pisco Sour - Chile's national drink.

Facilities

Facilities include a living room, library, bar, swimming pool, gardens and a large terrace with panoramic views towards the desert, the Licancabur volcano and surrounding mountains. The star of the show however is the stylish Uma Spa, where guests can enjoy a range of rejuvenating treatments from massages to facials along with a steam room, Jacuzzi and Turkish bath. Guests also have access to complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel and, most importantly, can choose from an extensive list of adventurous excursions throughout the Atacama region, including the Tatio Geysers, the Salar de Tara, the Valle de la Luna (Valley of the Moon) and the beautiful Altiplanic Lagoons. There's also the chance to enjoy stargazing, horse rides, bird watching, volcano climbs, biking and hiking tours.
