Cusco/Sacred Valley
After arriving in Cusco, you’ll be met at the airport by an included transfer, bringing you among the Sacred Valley’s Incan forts, colourful local markets and alpaca-dotted terraces. You’ll end at to your luxury accommodation – the explora Valle Sagrado. All blonde timber and clean lines, its picture windows showcase gorgeous valley views, while its spa and swimming pool are housed in a 17th-century colonial house. You’ll then begin your full menu of all-inclusive indulgences, washing full-board local delicacies down with fine wines. Of course, there’s also full menu of included excursions, from hikes and bike rides to visits to the region’s lesser-known archaeological sites.

Machu Picchu
Today you’ll be treated to a true highlight – a visit to Machu Picchu. Bookended by included transfers, a train ride up into the Andean peaks will see you to this world wonder, offering spectacular jungle views along the way. And, on arrival, your expert guide will bring this centuries-old citadel to life, pointing out workshops, royal quarters and mysterious temples. Then, retracing your steps, the scenic train ride will see you back towards your accommodation. As always, cap off the day with an indulgent dinner and a drink in the open bar.

Cusco
Returning to Cusco with an included transfer, you’ll stay in a historic monastery – a national monument. You’ll also enjoy an included private tour of the city’s fabled past of Incan sites and European history. It’s all summed up by Coricancha – a colonial church founded atop a temple dedicated to the sun. You’ll also be taken out to city overlooks before heading down to the Plaza de Armas, where colonnaded arcades ring 16th-century churches. The day culminates with a visit to Sacsayhuaman – the Incan fortress that looks out over the city. You’ll also be treated to a visit to a local artists’ workshop.
