This three-day extension ties in neatly with a trip to the Kruger and can be enjoyed either before or after a stay in the national park. It’s also a scenic way of travelling between the Kruger and Johannesburg: perfect for those wanting to avoid an extra flight. 

Day by day itinerary

Day 1
Johannesburg

Arrive at the airport in Johannesburg, and transfer to The Michelangelo Hotel for one night. The Michelangelo is located on Nelson Mandela Square acting as a retreat in the its hustle and bustle. Built in a Renaissance style, the hotel has a fitness centre with a personal trainer, a sauna and an indoor heated pool.

Day 2
White River Country Estate

A four to five hour transfer takes you to Oliver's Restaurant & Lodge, located in the White River Country Estate, South Africa. Enjoy the lodge's extensive amenities and facilities during your one-night stay, which is surrounded by lush forests in the Mpumalanga province, overlooking the 18-hole championship White River Golf Course. During your one-night stay, make the most of its award-winning cuisine, intimate comfort, lodge pool, and in-house Wellness and Beauty Clinic.

Day 3
Panorama Route - Kruger National Park

Today you will transfer from Oliver's Restaurant & Lodge to your choice of lodge in the Kruger National Park via the spectacular Panorama Route. The Panorama Route runs through the heart of Mpumalanga Province, past cascading waterfalls, majestic mountains, deep gorges and host of other natural wonders. Highlights of this spectacular region include the Blyde River Canyon, the third deepest in the world, where viewing points such as God's Window and Wonder View offer incredible views of the massive dolomite spirals known as the Three Sisters, and the vertigo-inducing 800m drop to the riverbed below.
