Introduction
The Caprivi Strip is a verdant panhandle shaped area of land jutting into the area north of Botswana's famous parks and reserves.
These flat and fertile floodplains are home to some fabulous rivers and forests, a wide variety of wildlife and several game parks renowned for their remote beauty and great array of flora.
Three major rivers crisscross the area: the Zambezi, Kwando/Chobe, and Okavango.
The Caprivi Strip's four main parks - Mahango, Mudumu, Mamili and Bwabwata - all offer pristine woodland and riverine flood plain packed with wildlife.
The riverside setting of lodges in the area means there are plenty of activities on offer. These include sunset river cruises, canoeing, watersports, fishing, off-road driving and game viewing.
