Introduction
Koh Lanta Yai (big Koh Lanta) and Koh Lanta Noi (small Koh Lanta) are the main islands in a group of 50 islets off the Lower Andaman Coast.
Big Koh Lanta has only recently developed and is fast emerging as a luxury resort. As such it's still possible to get away from it all among Koh Lanta's sandy beaches, thick forests and mangroves.
Viewpoint Hill is the island's highest point and has the best views, while Hat Khlong Dao and Hat Khlong Nin are the most popular beaches.
The waters of the Koh Lanta Marine Park are popular for sea kayaking and diving.
