Introduction
Wadduwa is situated just south of Colombo, about as far away as the city and beach resort of Negombo to the north. A sleepy palm fringed beach, white sands and clear warm waters greet travellers and a number of quality B&Bs and luxury hotels on the beach make this a great stop on a luxury tailor made Sri Lanka holiday.
Wadduwa provides a soothing remedy to the chaos of Colombo and its proximity to Sri Lanka's biggest city means that travel to and from the city is quick and easy. The emphasis here is on finding a shaded spot with a good book and whiling away the hours as a cool breeze spreads in from the Indian Ocean. But for those with a bit more energy, there's always windsurfing, swimming and of course, the ever present game of cricket to get involved in.
