Introduction
Victoria’s Great Ocean Road is one of the world’s most scenic driving routes, home to the famous 12 Apostles rock formations. The road follows the rocky coast southwest for 243km from Torquay to Allansford. Along the way the route winds along sheer cliff edges, amazing headlands, scenic lookouts, the edges of beaches, and even lush rainforests, offering panoramic views of Bass Strait and the Southern Ocean. The most spectacular section is between Lorne and Apollo Bay.
