Introduction
Stay at an historic hacienda in Mexico and be transported to a world of traditional luxury and faded grandeur. Each property was once a palace, monastery or convent, fortress, castle or other important piece of Mexican history.
The haciendas were the landed estates of Mexico and boasted enormous territories during the centuries of colonial rule. During the revolution of 1910-20 many of the haciendas were sacked and pillaged. More recently, many have been restored and undergone a complete restoration to return them to their original status.
Stay at one of these venues, often in beautiful and relaxing regions to celebrate Mexico's art and culture and to come away with a unique experience.
