When to visit Mexico
Introduction
The climate of Mexico is mostly warm and tropical, with rainfall lower in the arid and semiarid regions further north. Temperatures are typically lower in the mountainous central spine than on the coast.
Mexico's location in mid latitudes means that the seasonal cycles are not so pronounced as they are in temperate zones, although the Northern Hemisphere's summer is aligned to the Mexican rainy season, and with November to February comes a drier, cooler season. Peak holiday times come from July to August, and around the Christmas period.
