Okavango Delta
Arrive in Maun where you'll board a charter flight to Xugana Airstrip. From here it's a relaxing 20-minute motorboat transfer to Xugana Island Lodge, located on a private concession in the heart of Botswana's Okavango Delta, a region of waterways and lagoons that supports a quite astonishing array of flora and fauna. The lodge overlooks Xugana Lagoon, an area widely regarded as the Okavango's most spectacular permanent water site. Here, you'll enjoy a range of exciting safari activities, all in the company of experienced, professional guides. Take to the waters of the delta in a traditional wooden mokoro canoe and discover a wealth of plant, animal and bird life, including elephants, buffalos, hippos, lechwes, wildebeest, crocodiles, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, fish eagles, owls and cranes to name just a few. Back on dry land, experience nature up close and personal on a guided nature hike. There's even the chance to take it all in from above on an optional helicopter flight. Speak to our specialists for details. And, when the adventures are over, you'll return to the lodge to enjoy first-class dining and facilities, including a swimming pool and large deck with views across the lagoon and delta beyond

Savute Channel
The next stage of your journey through Botswana takes you to the banks of the Savute Channel, a winding waterway that stretches from the Liyanti River to the western borders of the Chobe National Park. Check into the Savute Safari Lodge, a series of elegantly furnished chalets set along the banks of the Savute Channel, offering privacy, relaxation and the chance to marvel at the abundance of passing wildlife, which includes lions, giraffes, buffalos, leopards and zebras. In fact, the Savute has become known as one the best places in Botswana for leopard and lion sightings, while twice a year the channel also hosts the second largest zebra migration in Africa (usually between November and December, and again from February to April). Activities here are by 4x4 safari vehicles, which take you to all corners of the Savute Channel and surrounding Savute Marsh. Back at the lodge you'll enjoy a multitude of modern comforts, including a swimming pool and al fresco dining deck from where its possible to observe the local wildlife, including the resident elephants, drinking from and bathing in the waterhole in front. Please note Savute Safari Lodge will be closed until 15 June 2024 during which time stays will be at Camp Moremi.

The final leg of your holiday sees you spend two memorable nights at the Chobe Game Lodge, the only permanent game lodge within the boundaries of the Chobe National Park. This remarkable luxury eco-lodge is the perfect base for exploring the spectacular landscapes and discovering the remarkable wildlife of one of Southern Africa's great game-viewing destinations. Enjoy early-morning and late afternoon game drives using mostly electric vehicles and silent, solar powered boat tours as you go in search of four of the fabled Big 5 (lion, buffalo, elephant and leopard – rhinos are rarely seen in Chobe), along with a host of other bird, animal and plant species. During the day you'll have time to relax at the lodge, enjoying a host of superb facilities, which include a large swimming pool, a gym, the services of an in-house beautician, two bars, six lounges and four restaurants.

Depart for UK
After a final delicious breakfast, check out and take your private transfer to Kasane Airport in time for your flight home, arriving in the UK the next day.
Alternatively, if you would like to extend your trip, a fantastic option is to continue from Chobe National Park to Victoria Falls, one of Southern Africa's most awe-inspiring natural wonders. Should this be of interest, we highly recommend a stay at Old Drift Lodge or Matetsi Victoria Falls. Please speak to one of our specialists to discuss details.
