1
Fly to San José
Begin your holiday in relaxed fashion with included VIP airport lounge access before your flight to San José. Then, on arrival, a private transfer will bring you to your luxury hotel, overlooking the Central Valley's coffee plantations and surrounding volcano backdrop. The hotel has been awarded the highest possible sustainable tourism rating and serves wonderful fresh food from its fruit plantation, greenhouse and herb garden.

Osa Peninsula
Your flight to Puerto Jimenez, bookended by included private transfers, will bring you to the Lapa Rios Ecolodge, rated Top Hotel in Central America by Condé Nast Traveler. Built 350 feet above the Pacific and surrounded by tropical rainforest, it features just 16 luxe bungalows, a fantastic infinity pool and fantastic full-board dining. In terms of activities, you'll spend your time on everything from rainforest hikes and bird watching to surfing and horseback rides on deserted beaches. Don't worry, though, there's plenty of time for some beach-side relaxation, too.

Bajos del Toro
Your flight to San José and pair of inlcuded private transfers will see you to El Silencio Lodge, an eco-luxury hotel surrounded by the most diverse and accessible cloud forest in Central America. The following day you'll set off on a guided hike through the verdant jungle to Bajos del Toro Waterfall, a staggering 300 foot-high cascade into an extinct volcanic crater. It's a fairly steep climb – good walking shoes are essential – but the views are truly spectacular, and there's plenty of opportunity to watch out for wildlife.

Nosara, Nicoya Peninsula
Take a private transfer to Nosara on the Nicoya Peninsula, home to some of Costa Rica’s best beaches. Spend three nights at the fabulous Lagarta Lodge, a boutique retreat offering spa treatments, Jacuzzi soaks and unbeatable sunset views. which tumbles down to a palm-fringed beach. For families, you might consider the excellent Punta Islita, where you'll have a wide choice of daily activities and rooms with private plunge pools and views across the rainforest canopy and Pacific Ocean beyond. San José
Return to San José for a final night at Finca Rosa Blanca and a chance to catch up on anything you might have missed during your previous stay in the capital. Look out for the innovative art galleries and neoclassical grandeur hidden away among its sprawl.
