Day by day itinerary
Days
1-2
UK/Dallas-Fort Worth
Make the most of your included airport lounge access before flying to Dallas airport and making your way to that gateway to the Wild West – Fort Worth. Watch the cattle drives and call into a rodeo before following your nose to the restaurants of Sundance Square. Alternatively, take in Dallas' urbane culture, best represented by the 68-acre Arts District and world-class restaurants, a considered contrast to the rough and ready Fort Worth.
Stay: The Worthington Renaissance, Fort Worth (Superior)
Days
3-4
Houston
On your second day, watch as the Texas plains rush by on your way to Houston and your city-centre hotel. It’s the ideal base for exploring the sights of Texas's largest city. Expect everything from diverse residential neighbourhoods host to locals-favourite restaurants, to downtown's upscale eateries, sprawling parks and superb museums. Don't miss out on a trip to NASA's Space Center Houston, just 30-minutes from downtown.
Stay: The Westin Oaks Houston at the Galleria (Superior)
Days
5-7
San Antonio
A focal point of the Texas Revolution, San Antonio is home to several historic sites including The Alamo, the mission where a few hundred revolutionaries died defending against thousands of Mexican troops. There’s also the San Antonio National Historic Park where four Spanish frontier missions sit on an area of over 800 acres. Today, San Antonio is perhaps better known for its evocative river walks and European café culture.
Stay: The Emily Morgan San Antonio (Superior)
Days
8-10
Austin
Roll into Austin to the thumping beat of the city’s lively music scene, best sampled in one of its quirky honkytonk bars. Be sure to call into the 19th century granite of the Texas State Capitol, the largest of its kind in the country. There are also the leafy sidewalks of the University of Texas campus, home to museums and public art. You’ll also be introduced to the fingerlickin’ world of gourmet food trucks serving everything from brisket to lobster.
Stay: The Driskill Austin (Superior)
Days
11-12
