Professor John Prebble

John Prebble is a barrister and professor and former Dean of Law at Victoria University, Wellington in New Zealand. His main teaching and research interests are in income tax law, with specialisations in the basic principles of receipts, expenditure, international taxation and anti-avoidance rules.

He has advised several governments on matters of tax reform and has written or edited 12 books and more than 200 articles for professional and scholarly journals. He is a Fellow of the Society for Advanced Legal Studies, London and sits on numerous advisory and editorial boards from Amsterdam to Australia.

John Prebble's publications include:
