Biography

Heather’s passion for travel began while she was studying photography. During her study she embarked on extended trips across Europe and Indonesia. Initially intent on travel photography, she spent 12 months on a world journey before realising that a career in travel, sending people on trips of a lifetime, was the way forward. Camera in hand, Heather has hiked the Peruvian Inca Trail and Half Dome in Yosemite National Park, dived the beautiful waters of Sipadan and the Gili Islands and taken a heli-hiking trip on Mount McKinley in Alaska. Her frequent returns to the Americas means these are just a few of the many highlights of Heather’s travels.

Specialist destinations

Monument Valley, Arizona

North America

Vast and varied, North America is home to a whole world of landscapes, cultures and experiences, meaning that you can find whatever you're looking for in either Canada or the USA.

Machu Picchu, Peru

South America

Complex, contrasting, challenging and ultimately exhilarating, South America was made for travel and adventure. Explore it all in style, from Amazon cruises to Inca trail hikes and luxury Andean rail journeys.

Hills and mountains, Costa Rica

Central America

The biggest mystery concerning Central America is that the region remains such a mystery to people. Packing more into its compact size than many a larger continent, it offers visitors adventure aplenty.

Antarctica

Antarctica

As one of the world's last true frontiers, a voyage to the Antarctic is the chance to channel your inner explorer. Marvel at crashing icebergs and endless snowscapes, all animated by giant whales and vast colonies of penguins.

Caribbean beach

Caribbean

The Caribbean is a wonderfully mixed bag that offsets clichéd visions of seductive white sands and turquoise seas with dramatic, forested landscapes. Explore our holidays and relax into the rhythm of the island life.

Canada’s most populous and cosmopolitan city, sprawling across the northern shore of Lake Ontario, is known as a gateway to Niagara Falls, and a jumping-off point for the lakes and forests of Muskoka and the Kawarthas and the capital Ottawa. But Toronto is also a destination in itself.

Discovering Canada beyond mountains, lakes, and glaciers

While tourists visiting Canada typically gravitate towards the glaciers and lakes of the Rocky Mountains in the west, Ontario is Canada’s most populous province, home to its capital city, its largest city, its greatest lakes and most spectacular waterfalls.

Natural Beauty: Torngat Mountains National Park

No roads lead to Torngat; its borders are only open in the summer to boat trips and charter planes making for an exclusive, unspoilt experience.

  • Just back from: the Yukon

The Yukon is a vast and sparsely populated territory in the northwest of Canada and is one of the most diverse and remote parts of the world that I have visited.
