Jane Bassil

Born and raised in South Africa, Jane's love of wildlife and travel began with family trips to the Kruger National Park and adventures in the Drakensberg Mountains. She later turned that passion into a career, managing safari lodges in the Greater Kruger and Madikwe Game Reserve. As former cabin crew, Jane travelled extensively across Europe, Asia and South America, but Africa remains closest to her heart. Having explored destinations including Botswana, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Madagascar, Mauritius and the Seychelles, she brings a wealth of firsthand experience to the tailor-made journeys she creates. Jane is particularly passionate about designing immersive, wildlife-focused adventures, from scenic self-drive safaris and birdwatching experiences to unforgettable Big Five encounters. Now based in Norfolk, she still spends much of her free time exploring the natural world, often birdwatching in the Norfolk Broads with binoculars close at hand.
