Tenerife’s rugged coastline is only the beginning of the geological diversity this cultural and natural wonder has to offer. The northern part of the island is verdant and green from the frequent rains, and the south is altogether more arid. The culture on offer is just as varied. Lisbon’s long and impressive history extends back before the Roman Empire. In centuries past, it was one of the world’s great naval and shipping powers. Today, it is a hub of finance, entertainment, arts, and more. Explore the city on a wonderful highlights tour, discovering Graca, the city’s old district filled with tiled buildings and mansions, and Chiado, the arts district chock full of boutiques, galleries, and theatres. While you’re here, sample a bottle of Port wine for which Portugal is famous.

If you’d like to get outside of the city, a quick tram ride transports you to charming cobblestone Baixa. Alternatively, allow yourself to be lured away and pampered in the resort cities of Estoril and Cascais.

Porto is Portugal’s second-largest city, after Lisbon, and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996. Its name hints at Portugal’s most famous export: port. The city’s skyline is made up of impressive bell towers, majestic beaux art buildings, and grand churches, creating a truly romantic feel. A highlights tour will give you a feel for this city’s long history and vibrant culture.
