If you prefer not to drive, a full-day tour takes in the best sights of this spectacular route from the eponymous cobalt blue lakes to charming towns and rural communities as you journey north to San Martin de Los Andes, returning to Bariloche along Ruta 40, which traverses the Patagonian steppe.
