North America History and culture

North America History & Culture Holidays

Introduction

North America has a wealth of historical sites and significant destinations that you can discover in both Canada and the USA.

The old part of Québec is a UNESCO World heritage site and is the only remaining walled city in North America. Explore on foot to get a sense of Vieux Quebec and be transported back in time. Montréal and Toronto also have fascinating developments to discover.

In the USA there are countless iconic, historical destinations, from the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island in New York to the Lincoln Memorial, Colonial Williamsburg, Mount Rushmore, the Charles River Esplanade in Boston and countless sites in Anchorage, Charleston New Orleans, Oahu, Philadelphia, Savannah and so forth.

In Canada the Inuit have a lengthy and important history that you can discover by visiting. Alternatively take in Vancouver's immigrant history and the story of the indigenous tribes here at the Museum of Anthropology. In the USA there are a number of sites dedicated to celebrating the American Indian and their impact on the country.

These are just a handful of the options available though. You can also tailor-make your history and culture holiday to North America by adding a city stay, activity and adventure holiday or other excursion; talk to a destination specialist to see what we can do for you.
