Can Tho is the largest city in the Mekong Delta and its local canal network plays host to bustling floating markets. The waterfront is Illuminated at night by a series of floating restaurants, bars and hotels – it's a truly unique destination.

Cai Rang Market is perhaps the easiest to reach by boat. The markets are in full flow by 6am, with vendors selling a huge range of locally grown fruit and vegetables from the bows of their boats as customers paddle from one to the other, haggling and chatting as they go. It's quite a spectacle, an age-old tradition played out on the waters of the Mekong River.
