Ilha Grande
Ilha Grande is a small, sparkling island off the Costa Verde. It's easily reached by ferry from the mainland port of Angra dos Reis and is regarded as one of southeast Brazil's most majestic islands - largely undisturbed and topographically spectacular.
Angra dos Reis
Angra dos Reis is situated on a scenic bay on the Costa Verde, to the west of Rio de Janeiro. For many, Angra dos Reis is the gateway to the Green Coast, which stretches southwest of here.
Paraty
Paraty is one of Brazil's best-preserved colonial towns. Situated towards the western end of the Costa Verde, it was founded by the Portuguese in the 16th century and acted as a principal port for the shipping of gold to Europe.
