Location
A destination all on its own, the ranch is situated on the sunny side of the Cascade Mountain Range just east of Bend. Its 1,800 acres are marked by ancient juniper trees, private lakes and endless skies bathed in over 300 days of sunshine per year. Explore it all on the back of a mustang, draft-cross or pleasure horse, on skis in the winter and mountain bike year round. It also offers an excellent golf course with the best 18 views in Oregon.
Accommodation
Suites and cabins are woven into the landscape and are designed to combine rustic elegance with understated luxury; even the guestrooms feature superb views and private entrances. Depending on your preference, choose between cabins close to the resort’s facilities or further up the butte for increased privacy and seclusion. Luxury cabins feature spacious living rooms, en suite soak baths and extensive gourmet kitchens along with porches, complete with hot tubs. For couples, the Ranch House Suites come with soaking tubs and private balconies in the upper units, and, in the lower units, firepit access and private terraces. Cabins and suites are all carefully designed with tongue and groove ceilings, luxury furnishings and wooden accents throughout.
Dining
Brasada’s restaurants showcase farm-to-table dining at its finest. The family friendly Ranch House serves seasonal menus of Northwestern classics around a large stone fireplace, the ideal place to relax with a local microbrew after a round of golf. Take in the view over the high desert to the Cascade peaks. The Range Restaurant and Bar is equally committed to fresh produce, with weekly changing menus reflecting the produce of local farms, ranches, orchards, creameries and wineries. Dine outside around a roaring fire pit or back inside the intimate atmosphere of the restaurant. It’s open for dinner service only and its menu features everything from seared scallops to skirt steak.
Facilities
Aside from the myriad of outdoors activities, the ranch’s spa provides a full range of innovative body and beauty treatments including steam rooms, lounges and locally made snacks. There’s also the 17,000 square feet of athletic centre, complete with two oversized outdoor pools, a waterslide, a lap pool and a lazy river. You’ll also find a gym along with two tennis courts, a basketball half-court and a yoga studio. Nearby, there’s everything from fly-fishing and white water rafting, to local microbreweries and natural trails.
