Location
Located on the beautiful Cable Beach – a 23km stretch of white sand in Broome, Western Australia – the area is the coastal gateway to the stunning wilds of the Kimberley region. Throw in raking Indian Ocean sunsets and gently swaying palm trees and the resort is an idyllic getaway. Guests will also enjoy walks through the tropical gardens, whose giant palm trees are home to the tu-whit tu-whooing of owls along with providing shelter to monitor lizards and wallabies.
Accommodation
Tucked away among said gardens, you’ll find the hotel’s accommodation. There’s the polished timber and painted lattice of the Studios, the contemporary dark wood furnishings of the Bungalows, the opulent Villas (complete with private courtyard and plunge pool) and the wooden gables of the spacious Suites. All come with a choice of pool, garden or ocean views with the latter particularly impressive. Guests staying in the Villas and suites are treated to the Club Collection services where a dedicated host will greet you with champagne and a fruit platter and serve you complimentary canapés each afternoon and a continental breakfast each morning.
Dining
It’s said that 57 languages are spoken in the Broome region making for a cultural meetings that have resulted in fantastic cuisine. The signature Club Restaurant serves Australian favourites such as pearl meat and barramundi with a stylised Italian treatment while, for more casual dining, the Sunset Bar serves a grill menu accompanied by sunset views. For something more international, there’s excellent Malaysian food at Rambutan and the resort’s executive chef, Joji Iwama, takes you on a culinary journey to his native Japan at Zensai.
Facilities
Spend your days lazing by the pool, tanning on the beach and indulging at the spa as Cable Beach Club does its best to ensure that stays are as relaxed and carefree as possible. If you’d rather a faster pace, there’s also a fully-equipped gym, tennis courts, children’s water playground and a mini-golf course. The tour desk is also happy to advise on everything from helicopter to camel tours. Please note that some activities and facilities operate on a seasonal basis.
