Changa Safari Camp, Lake Kariba

Location

Demanding a beautiful spot on the horizon, Changa Safari Camp, is a place of romance and luxury, promising peace and seclusion in an unusual blend of landscapes. Guests are advised to fly into Fothergill Island Airstrip in a light aircraft which is followed by a transfer across Lake Kariba by boat.

Accommodation

Eight tents come in the form of double en suite and family rooms, all of which feature private verandas and outdoor baths and showers. All of the luxury tents are tastefully decorated with unique African influences, from rustic wood to leather and woven basketry, crisp white linen to locally crafted furniture.

Dining

Meals are relaxed and laid back, breakfast served al fresco and lunch and dinners are enjoyed at private tables under a canopy or trees overlooking the lake or communally in the dining room. Scrumptious food is freshly prepared in camp every day by the chef, who maintains an imaginative and creative approach to his menus.

Facilities

As Changa Safari Camp endeavours to create an exclusive, tailor-made experience to suit individual needs, there are a variety of activities on offer including fishing, bird watching and boating, but the highlights are game drives and walks. Zimbabwe is well-known for its incredible walking safaris and game drives, offering opportunities to spot the wildlife that inhabits the Matusadona National Park. Other facilities include a swimming pool and communal lounges.
