Location
Set in 250 acres bordering the Yarra River, this iconic chateau with its own winery can be found just an hour from Melbourne Airport. Home to Victoria’s oldest wine region, The Yarra Valley is the perfect place to indulge the pleasures of fine wine, food and nature and to escape the commotion of the city.
Accommodation
The accommodation at Chateau Yering consists of 32 resplendent suites, individually designed and tastefully decorated with different colour schemes. The Garden and Mountain Suites each have private outdoor areas while inside the rooms offer marble ensuites and capacious areas for relaxation. The Stable Suites and Yarra Suites have antique furniture and benefit from larger living areas, spa baths and private balconies or verandahs with sweeping views of the rural vistas. The jewel in the crown is the opulent Yering Suite occupying the upper floor and benefitting from its own private staircase.
Dining
The multi-award-winning Eleanore’s Restaurant is open for dinner each evening and serves a fine selection of gourmet dishes superbly presented and complemented by the excellent wines from the local wineries. The restaurant has won the prestigious “One Chef’s Hat” award for the last seven years as well as numerous other accolades including “Best National Fine Dining Restaurant” in 2012. A complimentary breakfast is served each morning in the Sweetwater Café, a light and airy conservatory style space with a relaxed ambiance. Traditional High Teas are served in the restaurant or lounges each Sunday and there is 24 hour room service available.
Facilities
Chateau Yering is an elegant 19th century mansion house set in beautifully landscaped gardens which lead to the winery. Opulent lounges with open fireplaces are perfect for relaxing with a cocktail from the bar and grandly decorated rooms are available for private events. Further facilities include an outdoor swimming pool plus tennis court and guests can partake in a game of French boules or croquet on the immaculate lawns. There is a beauty room that offers aromatherapy massages and other beauty treatments and golf or hot air ballooning can be arranged nearby.
