Location
Clarkes Hotel has been a heritage hotel since 1898, and is located in Shimla, which is the capital of the Himachel Pradesh province, with an average altitude of 7250ft. Located on the Shimla Mall Road, Clarkes is known for its architecture dating back to the colonial era, when the city was the head of the British Raj. It is also within walking distance of many of Shimla's top attractions, including the Gaiety Theatre, Groton Castle, Rothney Castle and the Viceregal Lodge.

The heritage property is one of Shimla's oldest hotels, and boasts old style British colonial architecture dating back to 1898.
