Location
Deep within Hwange National Park in the south-eastern Linkwasha concession, Davidson’s Camp is one of the most prolific wildlife areas in Hwange. Buffalo tend to be a permanent feature around the pans margins, with elephant and a variety of other big game seen from camp too. The camp is most easily accessed by fly-and-transfer, via road either from Makalolo or Hwange Main Camp Airstrips.
Accommodation
Davidson’s Camp consists of nine tented chalets, all of which feature verandas overlooking a watering hole frequently visited by solitary buffalo. The chalets are described as comfortable, with en suite bathrooms, tasteful furnishings and the option of a family chalet.
Dining
Early morning breakfasts are served before game drives, with snacks provided when on safari. Lunch is taken in the camp and afternoon tea served before afternoon activities, with delicious three-course plated dinners awaiting your return. Meals are enjoyed communally either around the dining table or the open campfire area, offering fantastic views over the waterhole.
Facilities
Home to a wealth of animal species, Davidson’s Camp offers morning and evening game drives with experienced and knowledgeable guides, allowing you to see and learn about all the incredible diversity of wildlife that inhabits Zimbabwe. Guests can also participate in morning walking safaris and local village visits for authentic African experiences, or spend the day lazing by the newly installed swimming pool.
