About
Recommended for:
Beach | Honeymoon | Relaxation | Spa
Langkawi was once a haven for pirates and its cultural diversity can be traced back to a time when Chinese, Indian and Arab traders passed through this paradise archipelago.
Location
This multi-cultural influence is apparent in the design of the luxury Four Seasons Resort Langkawi. Located on one of Langkawi's best beaches at Tanjung Rhu, the resort is a haven of style and exclusivity with subtle Middle Eastern and Malay touches throughout.
Accommodation
Luxury villas and pavilions are set in lush tropical gardens or beachfront settings with open-air verandas, decorated with dark woods, Moorish and Malay artefacts and Spanish marble. Some of these exclusive villas come with outdoor double-sized soaking tubs and showers overlooking the Andaman Sea.
Dining
Feast on Malay, Chinese and Mediterranean fare in the open-air restaurants overlooking the crystalline waters of the Andaman Sea or have a barbecue on the beach lit by tiki torches in the evening.
Facilities
Malaysia's Arabian heritage is reflected in the design of the spa, with six private spa pavilions set against a backdrop of limestone made from dark woods with a celadon soaking tub, where you can de-stress with an Asian fusion or synchronised massage.
Out of the archipelago of 99 islands in the Andaman Sea, only four remain inhabited, including Langkawi, from where you can embark upon jungle trekking, bird watching, snorkelling, diving and island-hopping tours.
