Location

The fashionable Rocks district combines modernity with architectural heritage. Stepping outside the hotel will bring you into historic laneways that give way to the stunning Sydney harbour. Here, you’ll see evidence of old and new with the iconic Harbour Bridge and Opera House – both of which are just a short walk from the hotel. In the immediate area, there are fantastic boat tours or harbour walks available or you could head into central district for the city’s art galleries, museums and shopping opportunities.

Accommodation

The Rocks provides the latest amenities in a heritage building – a slice of tradition in among Sydney’s modern city centre. Rooms feature contemporary styling with nods to the hotel’s origins coming in the form of exposed brickwork and legacy windows. Large LED televisions and larger beds make for a comfortable stay. Upgrade to the self-contained penthouse suite for a rooftop terrace with harbour views, lounge and BBQ facilities for the full Australian experience.

Dining

The hotel’s Scarlett Restaurant is billed as the oldest new restaurant in Sydney. Continuing Harbour Rocks’ decorative ambitions, bare sandstone acts as backdrop to brown leather seating so you can relax and enjoy the warm atmosphere. For breakfast, a continental buffet is complemented by an extensive à la carte menu, while guests are treated to dishes such as miso glazed salmon and confit pork belly with gnocchi for dinner. An in-room dining menu brings you world-class food to be enjoyed in comfort. There’s even a private dining room where up to 12 people can create a specific menu to be cooked by the executive chef.

Facilities

The hotel’s meeting point, Eric’s Bar, is perfect for sharing a bottle with friends or enjoying a freshly made espresso. It specialises in boutique Australian and international wines but also has an excellent tapas menu. Possibly the best feature of the hotel is its service. Thanks to its intimate size, knowledgeable staff can offer personalised help and assistance. There is also a fully-equipped gym for your use.
