North Hatley is just a 75 minute drive from Montreal and this is the perfect, gastronomic end to any stay in Quebec. Built in 1900 as a summer home, it was inspired by George Washington’s home in Mount Vernon and known locally as the finest of all the homes on the lake.
Location
North Hatley is one of Quebec’s prettiest villages and is a haven for artists. It is filled with antique shops, galleries and summer theatre. The drive from Montreal takes 75 minutes while it’s around 2.5 hours from Quebec City.
Accommodation
Manoir Hovey has just 37 charming rooms and suites with beautiful views of the woodland or lake. Rooms are lovingly maintained and are equipped with Nespresso coffee machines, soft bathrobes, Frette linens and flat screen TV’s, many also offer balconies, fireplaces and soaking bathtubs.
Dining
Le Hatley Restaurant is known throughout the province for its ambitious Quebec focused cuisine and the food is exceptional. The Tap Room pub offers a more relaxed, casual experience. A stay at Manoir Hovey includes a gourmet breakfast and fine dining dinner experience.
Facilities
You can enjoy water sports on the lake with complimentary use of kayaks, paddle boats and windsurfers, bicycles are also available for guests to use. There is a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and a private beach. When the weather turns and winter sets in there are snowshoes and ice skates available too.
