Day by day itinerary

Days 1-2
UK/Toronto

Enjoy a relaxing start to your holiday with included UK airport lounge access before your flight to Toronto. On arrival, make your way to your hotel before heading out to explore the city. The waterfront area is a great place to start, its setting providing a scenic backdrop for the attractions of downtown, where you'll find, among others, The Royal Ontario Museum and The Art Gallery of Ontario – Canada’s oldest art gallery.

Stay: Le Germain Toronto (Superior)

Days 3-4
Niagara-on-the-Lake

Collect your hire car for the short drive to Niagara-on-the-Lake, a 19th-century settlement known for its excellent wines. Travelling along the pretty shores of Lake Ontario, you'll wind orchards and vineyards as you head further into the Niagara Peninsula. To help make the most of your time, we've included an Adventure Pass, so you you can enjoy the attractions of nearby Niagara Falls at your leisure. And, if you feel like splashing out, a scenic helicopter flight over the falls is a spectacular upgrade.

Stay: The Pillar & Post (Superior)

Days 5-6
Algonquin Provincial Park

Head north past Toronto and into Ontario’s 'cottage country', bound for the Algonquin Provincial Park. Pause en route to explore ‘Marie Among the Hurons’, a 17th-century fortress and headquarters for the French Jesuit mission to the Huron nation. And, if you've time, take the road to Muskoka where, in summer, long lazy days are spent on fishing trips and gentle lake-side rambles.

Stay: Killarney Lodge (Superior)

Meals: B D

Days 7-8
Ottawa

Leave the wilds of Ontario behind for a change of pace in the nation’s capital – Ottawa. With its compact centre, you'll have no trouble navigating on foot as you wander between riverside paths and pavement cafes to the grand Gothic architecture of the city's famous Parliament Buildings. In winter, head to the canals for ice skating and fun-filled festivals, while in summer, the capital's parks come alive with flowers before the spectacular colours of autumn leave the city dappled in bright reds and iridescent golds.

Stay: Fairmont Chateau Laurier, Ottawa (Superior)

Day 9
Mont Tremblant

Head northeast into the province of Québec and the jewel of the Laurentians – Mont Tremblant. This year-round, alpine-style village is something of a showcase for outdoor pursuits, with world-class skiing and snowboarding in winter, replaced by hiking, kayaking, horse-riding and white-water rafting in summer.

Stay: Fairmont Tremblant (Superior)

Days 10-11
Québec City

Continue on to the glorious old-world charm of Québec City, perched prettily on the banks of the St Lawrence River. Again, this is a city best explored on foot, so we've included a guided walking tour of its World Heritage-listed old town – Vieux Québec. In the company of an expert guide, you'll explore its cobblestone streets, fortified city walls and 17th- and 18th-century architecture, all complemented by a characterful collection of artisan shops, lively pavement cafes and a superb collection of museums.

Stay: Auberge St Antoine (Deluxe)

Day 12
North Hatley

Make the short and scenic drive to North Hatley, surely one of Québec’s prettiest villages. It's also home to the excellent Manoir Hovey, a Relais & Châteaux hotel perched on the shores of Lake Massawippi. Known for its superb restaurant, it's the perfect spot to indulge in a few of the region's celebrated gourmet delights.

Stay: Manoir Hovey (Deluxe)

Meals: B D

Days 13-14
Montréal

The vibrant city of Montréal beckons as the final stop. And, at just an hour and half's drive from North Hatley, you'll have plenty of time for a leisurely breakfast before getting back on the road. Then, once you've arrived into Montréal, check into your city-centre hotel before heading out to explore its big-city highlights, both above ground and below. Indeed, hidden below street level is a maze of shopping malls and plazas, created to combat the ferocious winter storms. Above ground there's much to keep you enthralled, with a staggering collection of museums and galleries, a host of festivals, several world-class restaurants and the atmospheric French Quarter, home to the imposing Notre Dame Basilica, all at their best during those warm, summer months.
